Abstract
The friction and wear experiment of rare earth magnesium alloy GW103 Kwas performed by a MMS-2Atype ring block friction wear tester. The experimental results show that the abrasive volume of the alloy increases with the increasing of wear time and external load, and it increases evidently when the wear time exceeding 30 min and the external load going beyond 400 N.The friction coefficient of the alloy is changing between 0.26 and 0.28.The higher the rotating speed of the counterpart ring-block,the greater the wear volume loss of the alloy and the smaller the friction coefficient.
