Clinical analysis in 37 cases of varicosis of great saphenous vein with high ligation and endovenous laser treatment

BACKGROUND To analyze the curative effects of applying high ligation of great saphenous vein(GSV) and endovenous laser treatment(EVLT) for the varicosis of great saphenous vein.CASE REPORTS 46 strips of varicose vein in 37 patients were performed with the high ligation of GSV and EVLT from February,2008 to October,2008,and meanwhile local vein mass on legs was treated with ablation or transfixion.The time of operations in all patients was 32～56 minutes,and the average was 44 minutes. The patients were hospitalized for 6～10 days after operation.Thirty one patients were followed up for a period of 2~8 months,average 6 months,in which there was disappearance or relieve of the felling of acidum and distend,and disappearance of superficial varicose vein.Thrombotic occlusion of the GSV bold and asanguineous signal were found by the examination of Color Duplex ultrosonography.DISCUSSIONS The high ligation of GSV and EVLT has advantages of easy,safety performance,micro-trauma,and is a treatment method with exact curative effects for varicosis of GSV.
