On Song emperor Wen's suspicious and jealous psychology and its political influence

Emperor Wen in the Song Dynasty was one of the wisest emperors in ancient China.But he was too suspicious and jealous,which was shown in his slaughtering metritorious statesmen and famous generals,putting imperial clansmen in important positions and being suspicious and jealous of them.His jealousy and slaughter led to repeated failures in the war between Song and Wei,officials' accomplishing nothing,officials of insight living in seclusion and his being murdured.The decline and destruction of the Song Dynasty was closely related with his jealousy.
