Abstract

Objective To study the diagnostic and clinical value of CT for the splenic occupied lesions. Methods Clinical and CT materials of 26 cases of splenic lesions proved pathologically and clinically were analyzed retrospectively. CT characters of the lesions were summarized. Enhanced CT scanning were performed in 12cases. Results In 26 cases, non-neoplastic lesions were 5 cases, including abscess (n=2), tuberculosis(n=2) and infarction(n=l). Benign tumors were hemangiomas and cysts (n=2 respectively). Malignant tumors were 17 cases, including hemangiosarcoma(n=3),NHL(n=8),metastasis(n=6). Conclusions Splenic lesions can be found in plain CT scan and the recognition of the lesions to the adjacent organs is entire.Enhanced scanning could perform more information. So CT is with high diagnostic value to splenic lesions and helpful to the choice of clinical treatment.
