Abstract

A three-dimensional coordination polymer [Co(pda)(SCN)(H2O)]n was synthesized by hydrothermal reaction of CoCl2 and 3-(3-pyridyl) acrylic acid (pda) and KSCN. The structure was characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy as well as thermal gravimetric analysis. Single crystal was determinec by X-ray single crystal diffractometer. The analysis reveals the structure consists of [Co (pda) (SCN) (H2O)]n. The crystal belongs to triclinic crystal system and P-1 space group. Crystallographic data: a = 0.7309(5)nm, b =0.8799(6)nm, c =0.9634(6)nm, α = 68.128(10)°, β = 73.241(11)°, γ=71.218 (12)°, V=0.5343(6)nm3, Z = 2, dc = 1.760g/cm3, μ = 1.792mm-1, F(000)=268, R1 =0.0450, wR2 = 0. 1035. X-ray analysis reveals that a three-dimensional net is formed by various hydrogen bonds. Thermal gravimetric analysis studies display that the frameworks exist stably below 260℃.
