Abstract

A low temperature electroless nickel plating process on micro-arc oxidation ceramic coating of magnesium alloy was studied;The component,microstructures,corrosion resistance and wear resistance properties of the plating layer were investigated.The plating solution formula that is suitable for electroless nickel plating on micro-arc oxidation ceramic coating at by 40 ℃ is as follows,NiSO4·6H2O 40 g/L,NaH2PO2·H2O 40 g/L,(CH2CH2OH)3 10 mL/L,C6H8O7·H2O 7.5 g/L,NH4HF 20 g/L,and pH value of solution keeps by 9.5 through adding NH3·H2O.The plating nickel layer formed in the plating solution at 40 ℃ has microcrystalline structure and belongs to low phosphorus plating layer,adheres well on ceramic coating and can seal the holes of ceramic coating.Hence,the plating layer has excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance properties.
