Study on the Learning Engagement of Sports Specialized University Students——Taking Beijing Sports University for Example

As one of the necessary means to monitor the quality of higher education,higher education evaluation aims to improve the level and quality of schools.Viewing from students’ learning experience and involvement,this study,based on the Chinese version of NSSE(National Survey of Student Engagement),first designs a survey instrument reflecting the quality of talent cultivation of specialized students in sports colleges,into which activity characteristics and particular teaching requirements of special talents training are integrated.Then the paper compares Beijing Sports University with its parallels on the five benchmarks and students’ self-reported gains.In the end,it deeply rethinks the status of establishing academic foundation,designing curriculum and constructing campus culture in Beijing Sports University,and puts forward countermeasures to promote teaching effectively.
