Abstract

Strictly speaking,it was after the October Revolution that Chinese people really started to accept Marxism. However,it was due to the introduction and transmission of Marxism in China before the October Revolution that Chinese people had come to be aware of the existence of a new philosophical doctrine called Marxism.Such awareness played a positive leading role in the wide transmission of Marxism in China after the October Revolution as well as in the transforming of Marxism into Marxism with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, the author holds that the research on the historical trajectory of Sinicization of Marxism should begin with the earliest introduction and transmission of Marxism in China before the October Revolution so as to maintain a correct historical and logical starting point.
