Abstract

Objective: To observe the clinical effects of ambroxol on children with bronchiolitis. Methods: 72 cases with bronchiolitis randomly divide into the control group of 38 cases and the treatment group of 34 cases. Two groups were given regular treatment, with the treatment group having ambroxol 15 mg added into 20 mL NS for 20 minutes, once a day,for 5 to 7 days. Results: In the treatment group, coughing, difficult breathing, and lung wheezing were improved faster and the average treatment days were shortened compared with those in the contrast group. There was a significant difference(P0.05).No evident adverse reaction was observed. Conclusions: A significant clinical effect can be produced while ambroxol is used to treat bronchiolitis. It is safe and effective and worthy of spreading.
