Abstract
A spatial model is established firstly for blade curves based on the research of the ball-end milling cutter for machining the complex curved surface. Then the change of milling forces in discrete unites is analyzed according to the cutting theory, finally a three-dimensional model of milling forces suitable for ball-end milling is established. The model includes the geometric characteristics of ball-end cutter and the calculation of milling forces. The milling forces in milling process under different cutting parameters could be forecasted by using the model.
