Abstract
Objective To observe effect of all-trans-retinoic acid(ATRA) on squamous cell carcinoma(SCC) cell line A431 and expression of BMI-1,hematopoietic stem cell renewal factor,in the A431 treated by ATRA,Futher,role of BMI-1 in proliferation of SCC will be evaluated.Methods After exposed to ATRA for 0h,24h and 48h,A431 were harvested to detect the The cell apoptosis through flow cytometry and expression of BMI-1 by western blot.Results The apoptosis rate was increased after ATRA treatment for 24h,48h,along with BMI-1 expresssion decreased obviously(P0.05).Conclusion ATRA could suppress the proliferation of A431 and expression of BMI-1.Moreover;we proposed that stem cell renewal factor BMI-1 plays a key role in proliferation of SCC.
