The Utilization of Water Resource and Its Influence on Eco-environment in Arid Area of Northwest China

Basing on analysis of characteristics and utilization of water resource in arid area of northwest China,it is pointed out that the utilization and exploitation of water resource in that area have led to a serials of impacts on eco-environment because of the economic profit.But people has not recognized the significance,they still unduly harness the water resource even waste it.A set of environment deterioration problems,such as desertization and salinization of soil,have risen during water resource being exploited because the ecosystem is rather weak.All above will further deteriorate environment and hold back the economic development of the northwest of China.
