Abstract

Tao Yuan-ming lived in the period of Wei and Jin Dynasty when Wei and Jin metaphysics was very fashionable, so his life and literary ideal were all in fluenced by it deeply. Wang Bi's metaphysical thought, one of Wei and Jin metap hysics, which insisted people should react to all things on the one hand, but not cling to any ones on the other hand , was just the center of Yuan-ming's frame of reference of living and composition.
