On Conciliatory Policy to Survivors of Shang Dynasty in Early Zhou Dynasty

Abstract

In the Battle of Muye,Zhou dynasty overthrew Shang dynasty.In order to stabilise and consolidate the early Zhou's reign,the ruler headed by the King Wu of Zhou and Duke of Zhou took a series of measures to govern the survivors of Shang in view of reality.Conciliatory policy was one of the measures,and it played an active role inn appeasing the society conflict and soothing.
