Abstract
In this paper, the Chromosome numbers and karyotypes of four species in Aspidistra werereported, which are endemic to Guangxi. The results show as follows: A. longiloba is2n=38=24 m (2 sat) +2sm+12 st; A. dolichanthera 2n=36=18m+2sm (2sat)+16st, A.retusa 2n=36=18m+4 sm (2 sat) + 14 st; A. longanensis 2n =38=20m + 6 sm (2 sat) + 12 is.The karyotypes of all four species are bimodal and belong to 2 Ctype of Stebbins.
