Abstract

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of combined acupuncture and herbs in treating late-onset female patients with acne vulgaris.Methods:Twenty female patients with post adolescent acne received acupuncture plus oral herbs for 4 weeks.Results:There were 20 late onset female patients with acne vulgaris in the study and all patients were evaluated by Skin lesion counting before and after treatment,relieved compeletly in 11 cases,relieved obviously in 5 cases,no change in 4 patients.The total effective rate was 80 percent.Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with herb is effective and safe in treating late-onset female patients with acne vulgaris.
