Abstract
Objective To study the effect of combination of clearlight with Chinese herbs and simply clearlight on acne. Methods Forty patients of degree 3 or 4 acne were arranged into two groups A and B. The patients of group A (20 cases) were treated with Clearlight and Chinese herbs while the patients of group B (20 cases) were treated simply by clearlight. The treating time of both groups was four weeks and the patients were going to the doctors for further consultation and the results recorded in every three days. Results Group A saved one week of treating time compared with group B and its curative effect was raised up to 25%.Conclusion The clearlight (wave length 415 nm ) is an effective method for treating degree 3 or 4 acne. The curative effect would be improved and treating time shortened when used in combination with Chinese herbs.
