Abstract
Excellent slogans in the advertisements for tourism embody effectively the mission of the tourist agency,the positioning of the enterprise,and the unique selling point of the product or the service.The English slogans in the advertisements for tourism have their own characteristics and have become a language for the special purpose with different usage of words.Therefore,a study on the language styles of the slogans of tourist advertisements in English and Chinese will be of great significance.Based upon an analysis of the language styles of English slogans in the advertisements for tourism,this paper is aimed to use their experience for reference so as to create appropriate Chinese slogans of tourist advertisements.
