Abstract

Slogans are essential parts of English advertisements. They play an important role of recognizing products, increasing the notability, setting up the product image. Slogans aren't simple linguistic notation, they have close relationship with context. Slogans can realize their functions with the help of context. So slogans play the role of defining the meaning and directive pronouns.
