Abstract

Objective To compare the results analyzed by traditional hand-made sperm routine with the results analyzed by sperm quality analyzer(SQA-V).Methods Fifty sperm samples were analyzed through hand-made sperm routine and sperm quality analyzer(SQA-V)respectively.Results Sperm quality analyzer(SQA-V)was of good reproductive about the results of analyzed sperm density and sperm activity rate and percentage of A+B level sperm activity(the coefficient of variation values of these were 1.63%,4.9% and 5.76% respectively). There was a very good correlation between the results of two methods. the statistics showed that there was no significant difference(P0.001).Conclusion Traditional hand-made sperm routine and sperm quality analyzer(SQA-V)were of good consistency in the sperm routine analysis, and the especial values of SMI of SQA not only reflected comprehensively sperm quality but also obtained the values which routine sperm analysis could not test, consequently, the analysis of sperm quality by SQA was of certain value in clinical diagnosis.
