Experimental study of treating acalculous chronic cholecystitis with shugan huayu decoction

Objective The effect and mechanism of treating acalculous chronic Cholecystitis with self-made Shugan Huayu decoction is investigated.Methods Reconstructed chronic cholecystitis model in big ear rabbits,at the same time treated them with self-made Shugan Huayu decoction.Observed therapeutic effect through the pathologic biopsy of gallbladder and discussed on the mechanism of it through testing blood fat,liver function and content of bile cholesterol and bile acid etc.Results Cholesterol,lipoproteins,and aminotransferase levels in serum of Chinese medicine group were obviously better than those of model group(P0.05).Bile TC(total cholesterol):model groupChinese medicine group(P0.05),Chinese medicine grouPcontrol group(P0.05);Bile TB(total bile acid):model groupChinese medicine group(P0.05).The histologic examination showed gallbladder inflammation and liver pathological changes of Chinese medicine group were less than those of model group.Conclusion Self-made Shugan Huayu decoction could prevent rabbit's gallbladder inflammatory reaction obviously,its mechanism may be for its function of removing blood stasis and away with phlegm,so as to achieve the effect of soft liver and improving choleresis.
