Abstract
Objective To explore the influencing of family background on social support in college students.Methods 1 100 college students were tested by the social support rating scale (SSRS). Results The objective support score(7.74±1.76) was lower in the poor families than in the rich families(8.17±2.19); the subjective and the total support scores(19.79±4.14,35.11±6.45) were lower in the incomplete families than in the complete families(21.03±3.31,36.55±4.72); the higher the father's cultural level was, the higher the students' objective and the subjective support scores were; the higher the mother's cultural level was, the higher the students’subjective and total support scores were. ConclusionFamily background play an important effect on college students to gotsocial support.
