Abstract
High water content expansive soil could be used to the embankment filling of expressway when lime is mixed with the soil.A lime soil content measurement method is presented as an example used for lime stabilized expansive soil on Huaian section of Ning-Huai expressway.It is found that the consumption of EDTA for testing the content of lime reduces with time from the lime mixed in soil because of the chemical reaction between lime and soil.A time related standard curve is put forward for the modification soil lime measurement,with detailed procedures to get the standard curve.According to the test results,the modified standard curves are given for measuring lime contents which is not influenced by the time.
