Meaning of "Qing" Category in Renwu Zhi

Abstract

Qing is an important category in classical Chinese literary criticism,and China's first academic monograph Records of Personages(known as Renwu Zhi in Chinese) played an important role in the rheological process.In the monograph,Qing mainly has three meanings: the aesthetic ideal of yin,yang or wuxing,the virtues of a noble man,and the state of quietness and none-action in a Taoist philosophy.
