Abstract
Germplasm, the treasure for human beings, is the genetic materials for breeding. The inventory of germplasm can help us breed new varieties of crops, and provide people with subsistence of livelihood, medicines, industrial materials, etc. The integrated investigation of plant germplasm in Beijing is nearly completed. There are more than 2 400 plant species in the area according to the investigation as well as previous records. In order to realize the inquiry and public sharing of such information by convenience, a dynamic web database strategy, with a browser server (B/S) architecture, was adopted for establishing the index system. Based on the internet, the information data bank of plant germplasm was built, by which the data information is managed in an integrated and standardized manner. Information on germplasm in Beijing can be shared on the basis of common construction.
