Abstract
Objective To investigate effect of IL-6 and high sensitive C-reactive protein in differential diagnosis of tuberculous pleural effusion and malignant pleural effusion. Methods Samples of serum and pleural effusion from 60 cases of tuberculous pleural effusion and 70 cases of malignant pleural effusion were collected,IL-6 and HS-CRP levels in samples of serum and pleural effusion were obtained, and the diffirence of IL-6 and HS-CRP level in two groups of pleural effusion was to be compared. Results The IL-6 and HS-CRP levels of tuberculous pleural effusion group were higher than that of malignant pleural effusion group respectively(P0.05),and the IL-6 and HS-CRP levels of two groups showed correlation. Conclusion The detection of IL-6 and HS-CRP levels of serum and malignant pleural effusion is one of the most important test in differential diagnosis of tuberculous tleural effusion and malignant pleural effusion.
