Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) for the treatment of C6 glioma in rats. Methods Flow cytometry was used to detect the surface markers of BMSCs.The survival time of SD rats was performed and Kaplan-Meier plot was generated, and then Log-rank Test was performed.HE staining and immnohistochemical staining of BrdU were used to investigate the treatment of BMSCs and their tropism to giloma. Results The results of flow cytometry showed that cultured cells were all BMSCs.The success ratio of tumor models was 100% detected by HE staining. The survival time in experiment group was significantly longer than that in control group. The immnohistochemical staining of BrdU showed BMSCs in and around the tumor tissues. Conclusion After transplantation of BMSCs in the lateral cerebral ventricles,BMSCs can migrate to tumor tissues.BMSCs can improve the life quality and prolong the survival time of glioma-bearing rats.
