Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of simvastatin on the expression of PD-L1 in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC) stimulated by oxidized low density lipoprotein(ox-LDL).Methods The HUVECs were coincubated with 50 mg/L ox-LDL and different concentrations of simvastatin(0,5 μmol/L) for 12 h.PD-L1 expression level was detected by using RT-PCR and flow cytometer. Results Compared with the blank control group,ox-LDL increase PD-L1 expression on HUVECs(P0.01).Preincubation of HUVECs with simvastatin significantly inhibited PD-L1 mRNA and protein induced by ox-LDL compared to 50 mg/L ox-LDL alone HUVECs(P0.05).Conclusion PD-L1 involved in the immune inhibition of simvastatin.
