Abstract
Objective To explore relationship between the level of serum high sensitivity C-reactive protein and severity of coronary artery. Methods The study concluded 140 consecutive patients and divided them into 1-vessel lesin group(n=36),2-vessel lesin group(n=41),3-vessel lesin group(n=28)and control gruop(n=35).The high sensitivity C-reactive protein level was measured by particle enhanced immunoturbidimetric assay. The severity of coronary atherosclerosis was defined by the Gensini's score. Results The hs-CRP and Gensini's score were different among the groups. As the number of diseased vessels increased, the differense increased.Gensini's score was associated with lipid and hs-CRP,and hs-CPR was independently associated with the Gensini's score. Conclusion The level of plasma hs-CRP was significantly associated with the severity of coronary atherosclerosis and useful for prediction of coronary lesions.
