Abstract
In order to improve the whole quality of the Chinese undergraduates the methods of literature consultation, expert interview, teaching investigation and research as well as comparison and analysis were applied to study the successful experiences of the physical education curriculum system in colleges and universities of the developed countries. The advantages and disadvantages as well as the success and failure of the current curriculum system in Chinese colleges and universities were analyzed carefully. Effective ways to design the physical education curriculum system of the Chinese colleges and universities were discussed systematically and programmed scientifically.
