Abstract

Objective To explore the relationship among the local pressing time, the incidence and the size of subcutaneous hemorrhage, and find an optimum pressing time in order to reduce the incidence and the size of subcutaneous hemorrhage after the subcutaneous injection of low-molecular-weight heparin(LMWH).MethodsThe 38 patients who were assigned to receive LMWH were divided into five groups(1,2,3,4 or 5 minutes) by random, the incidence and the size of subcutaneous hemorrhage were measured.ResultsThe incidence of subcutaneous hemorrhage and the occurrence of large size were significantly different among the 1-minute group,2-minute group and 3-minute group(P0.05),while there were no difference among the 3-minute group,4-minute group and 5-minute group. Conclusion Pressing for five minutes can effectively reduce the incidence and the size of subcutaneous hemorrhage resulted from subcutaneous injection of LMWH.
