SURVEILLANCE AND ANALYSIS OF RURAL DRINKING WATER IN NANTONG

[Objective]To master the status of rural drinking water in Nantong and provide a scientific basis for decision-making,and continuously improve the quality of drinking water in rural areas.[Methods]ByStandard examination methods for drinking waterGB/T5750-2006,the factory water and peripheral water were sampled and detected from all units of the centralized water supply in rural areas.Then the test results were evaluated by theStandards for drinking water qualityGB5749-2006.[Results]1 813 water samples were detected in 2010,913 were up to standard,the total qualified rate was 50.36%,disinfectants index,turbidity,ammonia and other indexes' qualified rate were low.[Conclusion]The main reason for drinking water quality of rural area in Nantong is that water disinfection,decontamination measures are not implemented.An effective way that can improve the quality of drinking water in rural areas is to accelerate the regional water supply and construction of drinking water safety.
