Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of platelet activating factor(PAF) antagonist Safflor yellow on the heart function and IL-1β mRNA expression of cardiac muscle in rats after acute myocardial infarction.Methods:54 SD rats were randomly divided into sham group,MI group and treatment group;acute myocardial infarction animal models were established by ligation of LAD;rats of treatment group were intervened by injecting intraperitoneally with 40 mg/(kg·d) safflor yellow after 24h;the MI group and sham group were injected with equal volume of saline. The heart functions were detected by Vivid 7-type Doppler ultrasound after 28 days;the left ventricular weight index were calculated and the IL-1β mRNA expression of cardiac muscle was detected by RT-PCR.Results:Compared with sham group, the heart function of MI group and treatment group were significantly depressed (P0.05);and that of treatment group was better than that of MI group(P0.05).Compared with sham group, the left ventricular weight index and IL-1β mRNA expression of cardiac muscle in MI group and treatment group were increased significantly(P0.05);and the left ventricular weight index in treatment group was less than that in MI group;the IL-1β mRNA in treatment group was expressed less than that in MI group(P0.05).Conclusions: Platelet activating factor(PAF) antagonist Safflor yellow can improve the heart function in rats after acute myocardial infarction by improving left ventricular remodeling and regulating IL-1β expression.
