Abstract
Objective To observe the expression of P-glycoprotein(P-gp) gene, glutathione S-transferase-π(GST-π) gene in colorectal cancer tissue and investigate the correlation of P-gp, GST-π expression with clinical pathological parameters,drug resistance in colorectal cancer. Methods The expression of P-gp, GST-π was detected by immunohistochemistry in 48 cases colorectal cancer tissue. The correlations of P-gp, GST-π expression with clinical pathological parameters,recurrence or netastasis in colorectal carcinoma were analyzed. Results The expression of P-gp, GST-π in colorectal cancer tissue with recurrence or netastasis was significantly higher than that without recurrence or netastasis. The expression of P-gp in colorectal cancer tissue was well correlated with that of GST-π. Conclusion Detecting the expression of P-gp、 GST-π in colorectal carcinoma may be helpful to predict prognosis and choice of chemotherapy.
