Abstract
In the paper, we studied the effects of four different sowing dates(A), two planting densities(B) and two pruning methods(C) on yield of Hibiscus esculentus in plastic greenhouse in Qingyang area of Gansu. The results showed that, sowing date was the key factor affected the yield of H. esculentus, and planting density was the second factor, while pruning method had no obvious effect on the yield of H. esculentus. The optimal combination were A2B1C2(sowing on March 30, 30 cm in row spacing, 50 cm in line spacing, no pruning) and A1B1C1(sowing on March 15, 30 cm in row spacing, 50 cm in line spacing, single-stem pruning).
