Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of atorvastatin versus rosuvastatin in the treatment of coronary heart disease. Methods A total of 108 patients with coronary heart disease admitted to our hospital from May 2011 to May 2012 were randomly and equally divided into study group and control group. In addition to basic medication, the study group and control group received rosuvastatin and atorvastatin, respectively. Results After one year of treatment, the study group had significantly lower plasma levels of triglycerides, total cholesterol, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(P0.05) and a significantly higher plasma high-density lipoprotein cholesterol level(P0.05), as compared with the control group. Conclusion Rosuvastatin has better efficacy than atorvastatin in the treatment of coronary heart disease and is safe and reliable, so it holds promise for wide clinical application.
