Abstract

[Objective]To learn the dietary behavior of middle school students in Pudong New Area of Shanghai City,and provide evidence for prevention and intervention.[Methods]A total of 5 641middle school students in Pudong New Area were selected by stratified cluster sampling method,and investigated by Health-related Risk Behaviors questionnaire for Shanghai Adolescents.[Results]Dietary behavior reported rates of junior and senior students on daily breakfast eating were 73.85% and 72.12%,daily vegetable eating of 71.84% and 68.22%,daily fruit eating of 50.64% and 48.32%,daily milk drinking of 50.36% and 42.72%,frequently sugary beverage drinking of 2.46% and 4.33%,frequently dessert eating of 7.24% and 8.66%,daily frequently fried food eating of 7.14% and 8.59%,frequently fast food eating of 1.15% and 2.46%,roadside food eating of 2.92% and 2.89%.Dietary behavior of junior students was better than that of senior students,female was better than male,urban and suburban areas was better than rural areas.[Conclusion]]It is necessary to promote nutrition education among senior students in rural area,healthy lifestyle should be fostered to reduce risk factors of adult disease.
