Abstract
A new method for the determination of micro iodine ion has been described, which is based on the minus catalytic effect of iodine on the oxidation of Rhodamine B by K 2Cr 2O 7. The molar absorption coefficient is 6.7×10 4 L·mol -1 ·cm -1 . The linear range of iodine is 0~1.6 μg·mL -1 . The method has been used in the determination of micro iodine in food with satisfactory results.
