Abstract
Objective To clarify the relationship between the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and the angiogenesis, pathological factors in breast carcinoma. Methods The S-P immunohistochemistry and VEGFmRNA situ hybridization were used. Results The positive rate of VEGF in breast carcinoma was higher than that in normal tissue,P0.05.The expression of VEGF was closely related to pathological grade and lymphatic metastasis,P0.01.P0.05,respectively.A significantly higher microvessel density(MVD) was observed in the breast carcinoma with positive expression of VEGF compared with that of the negative expression,P0.01.Conclusions The up-regulation of VEGF has an important role in angiogenesis, growth and metastases of breast carcinoma.
