Scarring Moxibustion on LTB4 and Ige Levels of Cough Variant Asthma Patients

Abstract

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of scar moxibustion for the treatment of patients with cough variant asthma and the influence on LT and IgE levels. Methods: 135 patients met the inclusion criteria of cough variant asthma were randomly divided into three groups,each group with 45 patients. The acupuncture group was given acupuncture treatment. The scarring moxibustion group was given the scar moxibustion treatment,and the treatment group received scarring moxibustion with acupuncture treatment. A treatment course later,the efficacy was evaluated. Results: The acupuncture group's clinical cure rate was 22. 22%,and the total effective rate was 84. 44%. The scarring moxibustion group's clinical cure rate was 28. 88%,and the total effective rate was 82. 22%. The treatment group's clinical cure rate was 55. 56%,and the total effective rate was 97. 78%. The treatment group was significantly better than the acupuncture group and scarring moxibustion group,and the difference was statistically significant (P 0. 05). The treatment group's symptoms and disappearance time were superior to those of the acupuncture group and scarring moxibustion group and the differences were statistically significant (P 0. 05). Lung function indices in the treatment group were significantly better than that of acupuncture combination scarring moxibustion group,and the difference was statistically significant (P 0. 05). On reducing LT and IgE levels,the treatment group was superior to the acupuncture group and scarring moxibustion group (P 0. 05). Treatment group is more effective to reduce cough variant asthma relapse rate than the acupuncture group and scarring moxibustion group,and the difference was statistically significant (P 0. 05). Conclusion: Scar moxibustion combined with acupuncture can reduce the symptoms disappear time,more effectively relieve lung function indicators,reduce LT and IgE levels,and reduce the relapse rate in patients with cough variant asthma.
