Analysis of occupational hazards in 2010 in Haidian District Beijing

Objective To understand the occupational hazards in Haidian District,Beijing,hoping to provide scientific data for prevention of occupational diseases.Methods In 2010 the occupational hazards at 1749 workplaces in 126 enterprises of different trades and ownerships were monitored.Occupational medical surveillance was conducted over 11,784 workers from 222 enterprises.All the data were statistically analyzed.Results The results of occupational hazards monitoring showed that the unqualified rates of chemical hazards,dust,and noise were 0,8.4,and 2.8% respectively.Among them only the compliance rate of dust hazard correlated with the type of ownership and trade,the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The results of medical surveillance showed that the abnormalities for chemical exposure(mainly benzene series,BTEX),dust and noise were 0.2,0,and 22.4% respectively.Among them only the abnormality of noise exposure correlated with the ownership of the enterprises,the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The abnormalities of chemical and noise exposure correlated with different type of trades(P0.05).Conclusions Results suggest that the most serious occupational hazard in Haidian District is noise.Enterprises with noise hazard should emphatically be inspected and served.
