Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of observing growth of the follicle and ovulation by transvaginal sonography for patients with infertility. Methods The transvaginal sonography was applied to observe growth of the follicle and ovulation for 69 patients with infertility of 157 menstrual cycles. To observe one time every 2 days from the 8th day of the menstrual cycle, observe one time everyday, after the follicle's diameter15 mm,until ovulation. If there was still no ovulation, then observe one time every 2~3 days until next menstrual cycle. Results In the 85 menstrual cycles that have ovulated, the average diameter of the biggest follicles was 23.4 mm,the average increasing rate was 2.42 mm/d,they disappeared in the 13th~16th days of the menstrual cycles,In the 32 cycles of the 8 cases of delayed ovulation period, the biggest follicles appeared in the 24th~39th days of the cycles, their average diameter was 24.1 mm,they ovulated in the 26th~42th days of the cycles. There were 14 cycles of 9 cases that have no follicle's growth.18 cycles of 5 cases that have no dominance follicle.8 cases appeared overian hyperstimulation syndrome because of oral clomiphene or hCG.Conclusion Observing follicle's growth by transvaginal sonography was clear.Which plays an important role in detecting the time of ovulation accurately and guiding fertilized. It is a important way to cure infertility.
