Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical significance of serum thymidine kinase 1(STK1)in the diagnosing hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods STK1level was detected by enhanced chemiluminescent dot blot assay in 100patients with HCC(group A)and 13cases with liver hemangioma(group B).Taking STK1no more than 2pmol/L as a threshold value, the results were compared between two groups. Results The level of STK1was significantly higher in group A than that in group B[(1.94±1.55)pmol/L vs.(0.85±0.44)pmol/L](P0.05).STK1of 36cases in group A exceeded 2pmol/L.STK1of all cases in group B was no more than 2pmol/L.Conclusion Detection of STK1is helpful for diagnosing HCC and differentiating from benign liver diseases.
