Abstract
Objective To study the expression of Bcl 2 and P53 proteins of endothelial cells after focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion in rats. Methods Coronal sections of brain were analysed using immunohistochemical staining technic after reperfusion (2,6,12,24 hours and 2,3,7,14,21 days) to observe the expression of Bcl 2 and P53 proteins. Results The Bcl 2 protein began to express at 2h after reperfusion, peaked at 12-24h, and declined gradually to controlled level at 14d. The P53 protein began to express at 6h after reperfusion, peaked at 24-48h, and declined successfully to controlled level at 7d. The expression peaked ime of P53 protein was 12h-1d later than that of Bcl 2 protein. Conclusion Bcl 2 and P53 proteins take a great role in the process of apoptosis of endothelial cells. [
