As a country in which the socialist market economy is established through gradual reform,our country is experiencing the transformation from the totalist government under the planned economy to the service- oriented government under the socialist market economy. The selection of the government style of our country and the transformation of its functions are closely related to the development stages of the modernization( industrialization) of our country and its appeals. According to the national conditions of our country and the experiences of foreign countries,the future of the transformation of our government's functions must be based on the continued deepening of administrative system reform,the coordinating of the relations between government and market and between government and society,and the playing of the decisive role of market in resource allocation as well as the role of the government.
