Abstract
Using the data from the fourth national health services survey,we evaluated the quality of primary health care in rural areas in China through user-perceptive quality from the point of view of demand-side. The results shows:The reasons that affect the perceived quality and level of utilization of rural residents on primary health care mainly include higher medical costs relative to their bearing capacity of the economy, poor equipment, and low technical level, etc. Suggestions:Firstly,to strengthen the building of health care services quality around improving of medical equipment and environment, improving of the reasonableness of medical charges, and raising of the technical level of medical personnel for primary health care facilities in rural areas; Secondly,to further improve the medical insurance system for rural residents through covering the rural primary health care services item and raising the level of compensation appropriately.
