Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical significance of automated reticulocyte multiple parameters analysis in thalassemia patients. Methods Automated reticulocyte counting(6 parameters) have been measured in 31 healthy controls and in 46 thalassemia patients with Coulter XE-2100 auto-mated blood cell counter. The parameters include RET%,RET#, IRF, LFR, MFR, HFR.Results There were significant differences between normol subjects and thalassemia patients in all the parameters. RET%、RET#、IRF、MFR、HFR in thalassemia patients were significantly higher than those in healthy controls , otherwise , LFR were obviously decreased in thalassemia patients. Conclusion The increased proportion of immature reticulocytes in thalassemia patients might be one of the main reasons of ineffective erythropoiesis, also,Automated reticulocyte multiple parameters analysis can give information about severity of thalassemia to some distance and help us to evaluate the haematogenesis of the marrow more effectively.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
