Abstract

Emperor Wu in the Han Dynasty established a strong empire,which had an important relation to a series of cultural policies during his reign.The cultural policies included: First,he esteemed not only Confucianism but also all kinds of thoughts.Second,he focused on education and recruited lots of talents.Third,he redefined religion,established the supreme god Taiyi. The cultural policies had a profound impact on his times and his later generations.
