RESEARCH PROGRESS AND ENLIGHTENMENT OF OVERSEAS INNOVATIVE CITIES

Based on a systematic summary of foreign innovative cities from the aspects of connotations, research progress, evaluation index system, successful experience, etc., this paper puts forward the suggestion for the construction of innovative cities in China as follows: analyzing and assessing the situation, enhancing advantage and avoiding disadvantage, adhering to the peopleoriented principle, creating brands, and having policy guarantee. In the future, foreign research achievements should be combined with China's reality, and more studies should be conducted on the China's innovative cities, so as to promote the healthy development of innovative cities in China.
