Pipe Laying Barge——Worldwide Development and Application

As an important transportation way of offshore oil and gas,the offshore pipeline is developing fast. The pipe laying barge,being the important marine pipeline laying facilities,is considered as critical and high characteristic in its application. This paper introduces some types of pipe laying barges widest used worldwide. For the pipe laying barge,the authors consider that the big gap exists in China compared with international advanced level in development and application,especially the pipe laying technology in deep water.
